Lynn Cirillo spent much of her career doing what many of us are taught to do: work hard, take on more, solve the problem, support the people, and keep moving.

She built a career in operations and executive leadership, eventually serving as an Executive Vice President overseeing people, technology, data, research, systems, and organizational change.

Along the way, she learned a great deal about leadership, human behavior, workplace culture, and the complicated relationship many of us develop with achievement.

She also learned that success and fulfillment are not always the same thing.

After stepping away from corporate executive life, Lynn began examining the experiences, assumptions, expectations, and identities she had collected over decades of working and leading.

What began as reflection became Musings of a Recovering Executive, a six-book series about work, identity, leadership, boundaries, reinvention, neurodiversity, toxic environments, and the sometimes-uncomfortable process of figuring out who we are when we stop defining ourselves by what we do.

The all six books, The Breaking Point, Reinvention Outside the Realm of Expectation, Every Yes Is an Investment: Your Life Is Finite, That’s Not a Detour. That’s the Point., Grounded in How I’m Wired, and You’re Not Imagining It, are available now.

Lynn writes from lived experience rather than from a pedestal. She believes some of our most important lessons come from remaining curious, paying attention, questioning what we have been taught, and being willing to learn from everyone we encounter.

Today, Lynn is the founder of Grounded Leadership LLC, where she continues her work around people-centered leadership, organizational culture, and creating healthier ways to work and lead.

She is also building a life that looks very different from the one she once imagined and has discovered that different can be extraordinarily good.

Lynn lives in Cheyenne, Wyoming, where she writes, reflects, keeps learning, and continues to practice becoming more fully herself.
